The Croton Joseph's Coat house plant has deep green leaves with yellow variegations on one side. The other side of the leaves takes up an orange, almost red gradient. The bright colors on the leaves help light up rooms. These plants like all crotons, like high humidity and ample light. They are overall robust plants that have bright colors.
Plant Care tips
- Lighting: This plant prefers medium indirect sunlight but can survive in low light situations.
- Temperature: Ideally, it should be in the temperature range of 65° F to 80° F at all times.
- Fertilizing: Feed your plant once or twice a year in the spring and summer with a basic houseplant food at half the recommended strength.
- Watering: Water the thoroughly and allow the top 75% of the soil to dry before watering again. Allow the soil to dry completely before watering if the plant is placed in low light. Water your plant less in the winter, when light levels are lower and growth has slowed.
