Plant Care tips
- Lighting: Place the plant in bright, indirect sunlight or artificial light.
- Temperature: The ideal temperature range for calathea plants is 65°F to 80°F (18° – 27°C).
- Fertilizing: Feed your calathea plant every four weeks during the growing season—from spring until the end of summer. Use a balanced houseplant fertilizer and dilute it to one-fourth strength. Avoid over-fertilizing.
- Watering: Water a calathea whenever the top 1” (2.5 cm) of the potting mix is dry. Make sure the water drains out of the bottom of the pot when you are watering, you should then empty the saucer that the pot is in to avoid letting the plant stand in water.
